9/11 Hero Helps Plan Singapore Casino Resort
Rudolph Giuliani, the well-respected NYC mayor who is best-known for his heroic efforts after 9/11 and cracking down on crime, is now providing security consulting to a Las Vegas casino developer who is bidding for a Singapore gaming license. The company who hired Guiliani's consulting firm, Eighth Wonder, is one of four casinos trying to get permission to build a casino in Singapore.
Recently, the Singapore government overturned they're previous stance on gambling and said it will allow two companies to build a casino-resort in an effort to boost the countries lagging tourism industry. Singapore officials are confident that casino gambling will attract the excitement needed in order to jump-start the lagging industry.
Mr. Giuliani (Giuliani Security & Safety LLC) served 2 terms as the NYC mayor and was instrumental in helping to revitalize the Big Applie, as well as restoring a sense of calm following the terrorist attacks on 9/11. Some have speculated whethor or not Mr. Guiliani will run for President in 2008, but official word has yet to be given.
