Gambling Addiction Leads To Crime
For most Minnesotans, a night out at a casino is an occasional extravagance, a chance to have fun with friends. For many, it's something worse.Kaija Hansen, 16, knows that all too well. She feels blessed to live in a home full of love, but that home isn't where she thought it would be.
Nothing about the last few years has gone as expected, Hansen said. Three years ago, she watched her father die of cancer. A year later, a culprit of another kind stole her mother.Hansen recalled the time her mother told her, "She was just crying and crying, (saying), 'I have to tell you the truth. I have to tell you the truth.' It was so hard."
