American Idol Preview: A Couple Betting Favorites Perform Tonight

Last week, American Idol fans received the results they were planning on. The three contestants who advanced into the final twelve was no surprise to anyone. Now, the next round begins and there are some early favorites singing tonight.

Part of the draw when a new American idol season begins is trying to figure out from the tryouts who will be one of the favorites to win the competition. Judging from what people in the US saw, the results last week were right on cue.

Tonight, some of the participants that have received the best reviews from the four judges hit the stage. Many eyes will be on Jasmine Murray, the sixteen year old singer from Starkville, Mississippi.

Matt Breitzke from Brixby, Oklahoma will be another contestant that will be watched closely tonight. Breitzke was the last male to find out his fate in the cut to thirty six, but still is a fan favorite.

Mishavonna Henson from California and Matt Giraud from Missouri have both been featured plenty in the taped shows. They will get their first live shot at impressing America tonight, along with the other ten singers.

One of the most controversial figures in this years Idol is Nick Mitchell. He has perplexed the judges with his alter-ego, but regardless of how ridiculous he has acted, judges cannot get beyond the idea that he actually has a good voice. If he even has a semi-strong vocal showing tonight he may win many votes.

The other singers tonight include, Adam Lambert, Allison Iraheta, Kai Kalama, Jesse Langseth, Jeanine Vailes, Kris Allen, and Megan Joy Corkrey.
