American Idol Winner Eventually Could Be Influenced By Gambling

Spouses everywhere are being forced to watch American Idol every Tuesday and Wednesday nights. Starting next week, the show will also air on Thursdays.

Sports books have been driven over the years by obsessions of America. That is what makes American Idol so appealing for these odds makers, who are always interested in new ways to get into gamblers pockets.

William "The Refrigerator" Perry, was the person responsible for all of the insane proposition bets that can now be placed on the Super Bowl. For American Idol, the shows popularity itself could lead to the next level in gambling.

The past few years, there have been odds put out by sports books on which of the final contestants will be knocked off each week on the show. But with each year that goes by, more and more options are coming along for gamblers earlier in the show.

This year, bettors can currently place bets at several sports books on who will make the final twenty four. That will be revealed tonight on FOX.

If gambling on the show becomes increasingly popular, then it is not far fetched to believe that the gambling community could eventually be responsible for who wins. Bettors are more likely to vote consistently if there is a chance of winning money depending on the outcome of the show.

Reversely, the general public might vote against certain contestants if it is revealed that large sums of money are on that contestant to win.

What started out as televisions best reality show, is in danger of being made into everything else that sports books have ever got their paws on. A losing bet.
