Ameristar Opens Black Hawk Casino In Colorado On Thursday
While many gaming companies struggled through the summer months, Ameristar Casinos, Inc. was preparing to open one of their biggest projects to date. The Ameristar Casino Hotel Black Hawk in Colorado opened on Thursday and it was everything that patrons were expecting.
The casino is a 55,000 square foot facility that is modeled after the big casino resorts in Las Vegas, Nevada. The casino has eighteen table games, including roulette, craps, and blackjack. It also is home to 1,600 state-of-the-art slot machines.
The hotel has conference and meeting rooms and also some of the finest amenities available anywhere in their 536 rooms and sixty-four suites. The rooms all come with plasma televisions, a marble foyer, and double vanities with separate tubs and showers.
The suites are even nicer. They contain fireplaces, hot tubs, and one of the best views of the Rocky Mountains in all of Colorado. The hotel offers customers a luxurious swimming pool on the roof, where the steam rooms, sauna, and hot tubs are located as well.
"Ameristar remains very enthusiastic about Black Hawk," said Chief Executive Officer Gordon Kanofsky, "Our $235 million investment in this expansion will generate more local economic development by attracting guests who would be spending their leisure dollars elsewhere."
