Atlantic City Casinos Call On Musical Acts To Bail Out Attendance
Bringing in one of the biggest musical acts in the country for a concert has always been a recipe for success for casinos looking to boost attendance. In Atlantic City these days, the casinos are hoping a strong Fall schedule is the key to success.
Atlantic City used to be home to some of the greatest musical acts in the world. Frank Sinatra and his Rat Pack friends could be regularly found in Atlantic City casinos, not only performing, but hanging out as well.
Those days have been long gone as casino expansion has occurred throughout the US, and it it has presented yet another problem for the struggling casino industry in AC. This Fall, casinos in the city are bringing acts that appeal to all different age groups to their casinos in the hopes of reviving some of their business.
For the older crowd, which makes up a majority of the clientele at AC casinos, Journey, Robert Daltrey, ZZ Top, Alice Cooper, and the Beach Boys will be among the acts that will be playing this Fall. There is, however, a younger generation of casino patrons who do not want to see the old-timers.
That is why the casinos are also bringing in the Fall Out Boys, Blink 182, David Cook, Kelly Clarkson, and Daughtry. Country music fans are taken care of as well, with Big and Rich and Sawyer Brown in September.
Those that remember when Atlantic City was at its best, there are also acts from those days. Frankie Valli and Tony Bennett will be playing at the Borgata and Caesars Atlantic City, respectively, in November.
