Voted Top Online Casino Several Years in a Row!

In the month of August, the New Jersey casino-gambling industry set a record high for gross revenues, a fact released by the New Jersey State Casino Control Commission.

For the month of August, gambling casinos announced $494.4 million in casino revenue, up 4.5% over last year. $363.5 million was earned at the slot machines, a 3.4 percent increase over last year. Another $130.9 million was won at table games, a 7.9% increase over last year.

The only major disappointment was The Sands, whose numbers fell 12.2%. They are slated to close the doors in November to begin construction on a bigger, more luxurious casino resort. Borgata rose 13.9 percent in August, with Hilton up 12.9 percent, and Trump Marina 10.7 percent.

In the first 8 months of 2006, gambling casinos in New Jersey made $3.5 billion, a 4.1% gain from the same period in 2005. The Hilton remains the leading gainer, ahead 15.5%, the only gambling casino to post double-digit percentage increases.
