The final clean up of the Sands Casino in Atlantic City paid out more than $17,000 in found chips, coins, and even a $100 bill to employees.

The famous Atlantic City Sands casino closed in November of last year after Pinnacle Entertainment purchased the hotel and casino plus some of the neighboring land for $250 million. The 2,350 slot machines were sent to other Sands Corp. casinos and yesterday as they all disappeared the employees began their clean sweep of the gaming floor expecting to find some lost money. However, they were not expecting to find more than $17k grand.

The money was mostly found in chips and casino coins, but some cash was also found, including a one hundred dollar bill.

The casino will be demolished soon and the new, much larger and more glamorous casino that Pinnacle Entertianment plans to build will begin its building process. The new casino is expected to be completed by as early as 2010.
