Huge Casino Gamble Paying Off

Voted Top Online Casino Several Years in a Row!

Big Gamble Paying Off This past month, 127,000 people came to the Diamond Jo Casino, hoping to hit it big. As expected , the casino is reeling in people from other states. Thus far, 70% of the business comes from Minnesota gamblers. Even on a Thursday morning, it's a packed house in Worth County. From the 500 slot machines to the 22 table games, it's hard to find an open seat.

Duane Lindaman came all the way from Janesville on a bus tour. This is his first trip to the Worth County casino and Lindaman was surprised when he walked through the front doors. "Its real nice. It's larger than I expected it to be. My son was up here a month ago and he said it was rather small. I expected it to be a real small area, but it is big. I like it here. "The casino was literallly built in the middle of nowhere. It's near the Minnesota border, right of Interstate 35. While thousands of gamblers play the odds, the casino's General Manager, Jesus Aviles, says other people come for the entertainment. "More than a casino, this has become a social event. People come on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays to see the musical bands we have here. They come to enjoy the restaurant. " Not Danielle Edgar, she came to enjoy the gambling.

She lives just half an hour from the casino. Edgar likes having the Diamond Jo close because she is accustomed to driving two hours to Minnesota to gamble. "As long as you're smart about it, which I try to be smart about it. It's tempting, but as long as you're smart about it, it's great to have one so close. "This year, more than a million people are expected to try their luck at the Diamond Jo Casino in Worth County. Crews broke ground on a new hotel last week, which will be connected to the casino. The General Manager hopes to reel in even more gamblers once the hotel opens in November. Another addition to the casino includes a golf course. Casino owners recently purchased it and are currently renovating the course.

A spokesperson for Diamond Jo says the golf course is expected to be open by this fall.
