Caesars Windsor is preparing for their grand opening weekend and they are sparing no expense in doing so. They actually are even picking up the tab for some of their gamblers.

The casino will be paying for the tolls at the Detroit-Windsor tunnel on Sunday from 3:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. for up to 4,000 travelers. The idea is to allow gamblers the easiest and cheapest access to their grand opening weekend.

The tolls will be paid for everyone e4xcept those driving buses or trucks. The toll to take the tunnel is $3.75 a car. That figure means it will cost the casino $15,000 for the five hours of free riding for customers.

Of course, the travelers will have to pay their own tolls on the way home. That is assuming that they did not lose all of their money while at the casino.

The grand opening festivities kick off on Thursday when Billy Joel will be playing a concert in the new 5,000 seat arena, the Colosseum. The casino is marking the opening of the casino after a $430 million renovation to what was formerly Casino Windsor.

In order to go to the opening of the casino in Canada, Americans will only need to supply a birth certificate or another form of proof of citizenship.
