Candidate in Boston Wants To Legalize Casino Gambling
Gubernatorial candidate Chris Gabrieli wants to legalize casino gambling in the state of Massachusetts. The Democrat says legalized casino gambling would help raise revenue that can be sent back to cities and towns, while reducing pressure to increase property taxes, which are already high.
The venture capitalist-turned-politician says it definitely makes sense to have Massachusetts residents spend that money in their own state. The Liberals in the state killed a bill to add slot machines at state racetracks. Gabrieli notes that Massachusetts already allows casino gambling through the state lottery, one of the most successful in the country.
