Rhode Island Casino Analysis Complete
The updated casino economic impact study is complete and overall seems to point out mostly the positive impacts a casino gambling site would have on West Warwick.
The analysis, performed by Christiansen Capital Advisors LLC (CCA), focuses on the economic impacts the proposed casino would have on the town with an emphasis on the "citizens as resident and employees."
Excluded from the analysis are taxes and other projected town revenues. No casinos or racinos will operate within five years in Massachusetts after the proposed casino in West Warwick opens. Within the next three to five years there will be no new supply of casino tables or gambling machines in Connecticut, excluding expansions at Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun. First-year gross gaming revenues for the proposed West Warwick casino are projected at $448 million. By the fifth year the projection rises to $594.1 million.
