Colorado may be the next state in line for changes to their current gambling laws. A group in the state has raised $6 million for the cause and is putting the money to use through advertising.

The current gambling limits inside the casinos of Colorado is $5. The group is trying to have those limits raised from the $5 mark to $100. That increase would allow for significantly more revenue to come to the state.

There is opposition to the initiative, they are just not as visible as the group in favor of the initiative. Jon Anderson a Denver lawyer is organizing the opposition, but has yet to spend any money for his cause.

In addition to the expanded gambling limits, there is also some other key components to the initiative. If approved, casinos would also be allowed to stay open twenty four hours a day. Adding roulette and craps would be another option for the casinos.

Anderson is not so sure that is what residents of Colorado want. "If this passes, you are going to create an economic incentive for the gambling industry, the Indian tribes and the corporations putting casinos across the country to expand gaming across Colorado," he said.
