A new casino will be constructed near Carson City, Nevada. That announcement came after Douglas County officials gave their final OK to some of the modifications made to the casino plans.

Phase one and phase two of the casino construction have been approved by the Douglas County Board of Commissioners. American Vantage Cos. and Brownstone GoldTown CV have partnered in the venture that will bring the casino near Carson City.

The cost of the casino will be $125 million. It will include two phases of construction. The construction will consist of 92,000 feet of casino floor space, 1,000 slot machines, 300 hotel rooms and suites, a sports book, a six table poker room, and several dining options.

Building will begin on the new casino sometime in the second quarter of 2008. GoldTown is the name of the casino. It will be located on forty five acres in Douglas County.

The hold up for the final approval was over zoning adjustments that had to made. Also, there was the issue of the 100 foot building height that had to be addressed. Both issues have been resolved and the plans are now set to move forward with the construction of the casino.
