Crown Casino Holds Australia's Most Expensive Wedding Ever

Crown Casino is known for pulling off extraordinary affairs, but this weekend the casino topped anything it has done before. Crown hosted the most expensive wedding in the history of Australia over the weekend.

Brynne Gordon must have thought she was in a fairy tale when Dr. Geoffrey Edelsten asked her to marry him. Never in her wildest dreams, however, would she have thought that she was going to be walking down the aisle in front of 550 guests.

Gordon admitted that many of the guests at her wedding she did not actually know. In fact, the bride confided that she only knew around twenty of those in attendance. The rest were acquaintances of one of the richest men in Australia.

Edelsten is the former owner of an AFL team, and a doctor. he had some of the biggest names in football attend the wedding, and also major television and movie stars. The biggest surprise of the event may have come at the beginning.

Actress Fran Drescher and actor Jason Alexander were brought in to host the wedding. It is not often that there is one, let alone two, hosts at any wedding. The occasion was marked by the exquisiteness of the bride.

Gordon wore an ivory gown, and also had on over $500,000 worth of diamonds. Edelsten wore a tuxedo while marrying a woman forty years younger than himself. Edelsten is sixty-six, and Gordon is twenty-six. The total cost of the wedding topped $3 million.
