Leading-Edge Design for Casino in Buffalo, New York
The Seneca Nation of Indians will officially reveal their plans for the construction of a 125 million dollar casino campus in Buffalo today. The Buffalo News is reporting that preliminary designs for the Seneca Buffalo Creek Casino call for a contemporary glass and steel construction in a park-like setting.
The nine-acre site would include a three-story gambling venue, a five-level parking garage and an eight-story headquarters for the Seneca Gaming Corporation. In honor of the Seneca Nation's ancestral ties to Buffalo Creek, an artificial creek will run throughout the campus and through the casino lobby.
The gambling corporation's development chief Rajat Shah says the proposed plans are "cutting edge," and "outside the box. "Today's unveiling of the casino design comes just days after the Senecas started the demolition of the historic grain elevators on the casino site, which many citizens had fought to maintain.
