DeNaples Welcomed Back To Pennsylvania Casino In Grand Fashion
It was not long ago that Louis DeNaples was stripped of his ownership rights of the Mount Airy Casino Resort in Pennsylvania. On Saturday, just weeks after his ownership privileges were restored, DeNaples was welcomed back with open arms.
A party was thrown for DeNaples and a couple of hundred people attended. He did not stick around long, but he did shake hands and exchange hugs with friends while he was at the party. After he completed his greetings, he went upstairs and joined a private party.
"It was nice to see him back," said casino patron Hank Melcren, "He has given so much to make this a beautiful facility and I am glad he can now once again enjoy what he has created."
Last February, DeNaples gaming license was suspended because of charges that he lied to the gaming board about possible connections to organized crime. DeNaples denied the allegations of his ties to crime families.
In April of this year, Dauphin County prosecutors dropped the charges against DeNaples. After the charges were dropped, the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board re-instated his license in June.
He still will not have full legal control of the casino, but for all intensive purposes he will be in command. Legal control is being transferred to his daughter Lisa.
