The FireKeepers Casino had so much hype surrounding its opening in Battle Creek that there was almost no possibility that reality could have lived up to that hype. Now, after the casino has opened its doors, amazingly the facility has actually exceeded the expectations of customers.

"This casino is one of the nicest that I have ever been in," said patron Bill Grant, adding that he has been to Las Vegas several times, "the detail that they put into this casino is truly amazing. I imagine that I will be spending many nights here."

The casino gives customers the options of five top of the line restaurants. There are also three different entertainment venues located in the casino. Everywhere a person turns, there will be something new to feast their eyes on.

One of the reasons the casino is drawing such rave reviews from patrons is because of the commitment to accommodating both smoking and non-smoking customers. The Nottawaseppi Huron Band of the Potawatomi Indians have created the environment they were searching for.

"Our tribe has put great emphasis on a clean air quality experience here at FireKeepers," said Michael Facenda, Marketing Director of FireKeepers Casino, "...Right now, we're offering a fun, vibrant, upscale experience. Anybody, anywhere, Detroit aside or included that wants to enjoy in that type of experience we're happy to have them."

The $300 million facility was finally opened to the public last Wednesday. The crowds and the atmosphere have been electric in the days since the opening, and the tribe is hoping that it stays that way for a long time.
