The cheating that can take place within a casino was never more evident than when a former dealer, Phuong Quoc Truong plead guilty to theft and racketeering charges.
Truong was the leader of a cheating ring that heisted $7 million from casinos around the United States. Louisiana, Nevada, California, Washington, Indiana, Mississippi, and Connecticut were among the states that the cheaters beat casinos.
It was an advanced formula that the ring used, It involved software and hidden transmitters. The ring was so big, that even the son of the mayor of Seattle was involved.
"We are not aware of any other cases of this magnitude," said Kathy D. Leodler, from the FBI's field office. The ring was one of the largest profiting in the history of the United States.
Now that he has plead guilty, Truong faces up to twenty years in prison for his leadership role in the organized ring.
