Fourteen Year Old Caught Gambling In Pennsylvania Casino
It is one thing when a nineteen year old gets by security in a casino and is allowed to gamble. It is a completely different story when the child is fourteen. That was the case, however, in a Pennsylvania casino.
Harrah's Chester was the casino and they will now face a fine of $20,000. The fine has been handed down from the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board, and they are not happy about the situation.
"That is something that-to us- says the casino needs to do a better job, needs to be carding, looking out for these individuals. And when that doesn't happen, we have to take an action," said Gaming Control Board Spokesman Richard McGarvey.
The fourteen year old girl somehow got by security and proceeded to play slot machines in the casino. She played for a while and actually cashed out her winnings before anyone noticed that she was underage.
This is not the first time this has happened in casinos. They are frequently hit with fines for underage gambling. Most of the time, however, the people playing are at least close to the legal gambling age. That clearly was not the case at Harrah's.
The casino has vowed to put more security on the floor and pay more attention to carding young looking players when they come in to the casino.
