Gamblers In India Hiring Professionals To Win Them Money
In India, an interesting trend has started. People who have had no luck gambling are now hiring others who are professionals to do their wagering for them. It is a phenomenon that id growing, and soon could reach the United States.
Wealthy people in India have begun to turn gambling into a job. Not quite a job like on Wall Street, where gambling is legal, but more like a job such as a personal trainer or a publicist.
Professional gamblers are being hired and paid in percentages of the money that they win. Some people even have more than one of these professionals on their payroll. The goal is simple, win money and get paid.
If the pro wins money for their "Master", they are then paid in a percentage of the winnings. If they lose, no big deal. They simply go back and get more money and try to win.
"It is always worth the investment. I don't mind even if they lose because after all it is a game and you're just playing around with money," said a gambling den owner in Ellisbridge.
The jockeys themselves, which is what they are called in Gujarat, are happy to be playing with house money. "The person who hires me has to keep on buying all the counters I require. Normally, he also hovers around to keep a watch on how I am faring," said jockey, Dilip Patel.
If the strategy shows that it pays off, it is not going to be long before people from around the world begin to employ the same tactics.
