People are always interested in other things to do in Las Vegas outside of gambling. Those people now have a guide to the top spots in Vegas for everything non gambling.

Shopping, golf, hotels, nightspots and restaurants are all reviewed as part of Zagat's "best of" travel series. The guidebook is titled Zagat Survey's Best of Las Vegas 2008.

Many think of Las Vegas as a cheap place to get a meal. That may be true, if you are a gambler. Others, however, will be paying greatly for their food. The city ranks as the most expensive per plate in the U.S. at $44.44.

In the hotel portion of the guide, the Bellagio was the most popular among those surveyed. The Venetian was second, followed by the Wynn. Mandalay Bay came in at number four, and Caesars was the fifth most popular hotel.

The nightlife is also popular in Sin City. Locals in Vegas report that they only go out an average of 1.7 nights a week. That is lower than in New York City and London, with their locals going out 2.0 and 2.3 respectively.
