Gambling Bars In Las Vegas Offering Guns As Jackpot
A casino in Coconut Creek, Florida, has given a way a trip to the moon. Other casinos have done similarly crazy promotions to try and lure customers to their gaming floors. A chain of video poker bars in Las Vegas, however, might have topped them all.
O'Aces Bar, at several different locations, is offering handguns as jackpots. Players at the poker bars already get paid for hitting a royal flush. Now, if the same player hits two royal flushes in one month, they will also receive a 9mm Smith and Wesson handgun.
If a customer wins one of the guns, the gun will not automatically be turned over to them. The owner of the bar, Jason Woywod, said that he would follow all permit and background check laws before the winning customer was given the gun.
"An inappropriate prize? Then they can go some place else and play," said Woywod, when asked by News3's Steve Crupi whether the prize was inappropriate. The bar owner wants to ensure that he does not follow some of his neighbors out of business.
The odds of anyone actually winning the guns are extraordinary. For anyone who understands the game of poker, it is next to impossible to receive one royal flush, much less the two that are required to win the gun promotion.
