Gambling Conference Shifts To Different Location, Early October
Many of the best new ideas in the gaming industry come out of the Global Gaming Expo that is annually held in Las Vegas. Next year, however, the setting for the conference and the time of year the conference will be held will both change.
The conference will be held for the next three years at the Sands Expo and Convention Center. The agreement to move the location was made as part of a three year deal that will also move the conference from November, to early October.
The change in time will help industry insiders who are normally preparing for a busy season coming up in the winter. The early October date will give the executives a chance to come out of the slow summer season and find out what is new in the world of casino gambling.
In past years, experts from various areas of the gambling industry have been invited to speak at the gaming convention. Information has been exchanged dealing with new technology, safeguards for problem gambling, and other issues related to International gambling.
"With other areas of the world, specifically Asia, becoming much more prevalent in the gambling industry, this convention will serve as a valuable tool for gaming executives to share the wealth of information they are acquiring on an annual basis," said Gaming Analyst Steve Schwartz.
The reason for the move from the Las Vegas Convention Center, according to the American Gaming Association, was that the Convention Center could not accommodate all the needs to run the meetings at that location. The Sands location will be much more user-friendly for those organizing the show.
