Greektown Casino Hotel Opens To Rave Reviews Thursday
Welcome to the world of the high tech hotel Detroit. Greektown Casino now has their new hotel open to the public and it comes at a time when the casino needs to increase their clientele if they are going to survive.
Greektown has been financially strapped along with many casinos in the country as of late. They almost did not even have the financing to finish the hotel project. They found the money, however, to finish the project and now hope it will be the savior for a floundering casino business.
"This hotel is a thing of beauty. It is upscale and the introductory rates make it well worth us staying here. I don't know how much the rates will jump in the future, but for now it was definitely worth the money," said Henry D., who stayed tat the new hotel with his family on the first night it was open Thursday.
The rooms themselves are state of the art and include such luxuries as iPod docks. The hotel also has several other high end amenities such as their main restaurant, Bistro 555. The hotel has 400 rooms and provides plenty of personality to the Greektown Casino.
Greektown is planning on the hotel being the key that brings them out of bankruptcy. They have been in Chapter 11 since the spring of last year. The hotel will serve as a make or break proposition for the casino.
The opening of the hotel comes with introductory rates that by far beat any of their competitors. People can stay at the hotel for $99 a night during the introductory period.
