The Greenbrier resort, one of the nation's most prestigious resorts, will begin adding a new wrinkle to their offerings on Thursday. Table game casino gambling is set to take place on Thursday after a walk through on Wednesday night.

There were low limit games operating on Wednesday as inspectors of the West Virginia Lottery Commission looked on to see if all of the guidelines of the state are being met. Once the Commission signs off on the requirements, Greenbrier will be good to go in starting their table game gambling.

Earlier in the day on Wednesday officials from Greenbrier said they expected no problems in the evening. They are expecting the Commission to clear them, and their aim is to still open the casino's table games to the public on Thursday.

"It looks great," said Spokeswoman Lynn Swann of Greenbrier, "We expect to hear the final word from the Lottery Commission Thursday morning." If that is the case, the casino would have plenty of time to prepare for patrons the same day.

The offerings in the beginning will be small. The Greenbrier is expected to have one three card poker table, one roulette wheel, and eight blackjack tables. That is much smaller than the table games offered at other casinos.

The Seminole Indians have opened blackjack tables at their Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Florida. That facility, however, has over twenty blackjack tables, and the demand is great to play on those tables. Greenbrier is expecting the same when they begin table game gambling tomorrow.
