Hard Rock Hotel And Casino's Rehab Raided By Police Sunday
People come from all over the world to attend the Rehab Pool Parties that are held at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. Rehab has become such a phenomenon that there has even been a reality television show shot at the party.
On Sunday, the reality television producers received more than they could have asked for. Eight people were arrested after an undercover operation turned up drugs and prostitution. Seven of the arrested people were brought in on charges relating to narcotics, and the other person for soliciting prostitution.
"We have a zero-tolerance policy regarding these alleged activities. It's unfortunate that of the nearly 6,000 people who enjoy themselves during the course of the day at Rehab, eight individuals engaged in conduct that resulted in their being arrested," said a statement released Tuesday by the Hard Rock Hotel.
This is not the first time that Metro Police have created a stir at Las Vegas resorts. The Sapphire Pool at the Rio was closed after eleven people were arrested for the same prostitution and drug related criminal behavior that was taking place at Rehab.
Prive, a popular nightclub at Planet Hollywood, closed their doors for good as well after they had their liquor license taken away for similar reasons. They have since re-opened with a temporary liquor license that was granted.
Still, Hard Rock claims they support the efforts of Las Vegas police officers. "Hard Rock has worked with Metro in the past to develop security procedures for our pool party and will continue to fully cooperate with Metro going forward," said their statement.
