On a recent telephone conference call, Harrah's Entertainment CEO Gary W. Loveman said the company is planning to announce a new casino that will be built on the Gulf Coast next to the Biloxi Grand Casino. According to Mr. Loveman, the official plan will be released this May and will include details pertaining to the new resort complex.

Mr. Loveman noted that most of the project will be south of US Highway 90. He said the new bridge across the Biloxi Bay should be complete by the time the project opens. Loveman made the comments Wednesday in a conference call about the Global Gaming Expo's survey on the status of Gulf Coast casinos.

Harrah's is a casino-entertainment provider known throughout the United States and UK. The company announced last week that a majority of its shareholders agreed to a planned $17 billion take-over by 2 private equity firms.

Based upon a preliminary count of the votes, 66% of total shares outstanding supported the deal. Harrah's expects the deal to be completed by the end of the 2007, pending any regulatory issues with government entities.
