The number of Iowans seeking gambling addiction help is on the rise. Usage of the state's gambling treatment hotline jumped seventeen percent last year.

As more gambling casinos plan to open in the state, officials predict an even greater increase in problem gamblers who need assistance.

Gambling addiction is affecting more and more players each year and was a major point in the recent debate in the House of Representatives with propopents of the internet gambling ban.
