Jacobs Entertainment up in Q1
Based in the Denver-area city of Golden, Jacobs Entertainment owns the Lodge Casino at Black Hawk and the Gilpin Hotel Casino, also in the Colorado gaming town of Black Hawk.
Outside this state, the company owns the Gold Dust West Casino in Reno, Nev., and Colonial Downs Racetrack in Virginia. Jacobs also runs nine off-track betting facilities in Virginia and 11 truck-stop gambling venues in Louisiana.
Total costs for the first quarter rose to $58 million from $44.7 million a year earlier.
Total assets dipped to $278.1 million from $278.8 million.
