Largest Casino In Carson Valley, Nevada, Sold
The Carano family is not new to the world of casino gambling. They currently operate the Silver Legacy, Eldorado, and Tamarack Junction casinos in Nevada. Now they can add another casino to that list.
The Carano family, along with partner Mike Pegram, have agreed to but the Carson Valley Inn. It is the largest casino hotel in Cason Valley and the former owners had just had enough.
"It was a very difficult decision for us to make after twenty-five years of dedication to the business community, our guests, and employees," said Jean Mulreany, who owned the casino along with her husband Patrick, "However, it's time for us to move in a different direction."
Pegram is one of the most well known thoroughbred trainers in the country. He owns the 1998 Kentucky Derby and Preakness winner, Real Quiet. He will partner with the Carano family on the new casino venture with the hopes of continuing the excellent service the casino has provided for twenty-five years.
The sale is not yet complete, it is expected that will happen before the end of the year. No figures were released, and this is not the first time the new owners of the casino have done business together. They have previously opened Bodine's Casino last year.
The state of Nevada and their casinos have been struggling mightily in the past year. The economy has almost wiped out what was once a booming casino industry.
