The Seminole Coconut Creek Casino in South Florida gave away a trip to the moon in their attempt to increase their customer base. While Las Vegas casinos are not going to that extreme, they are hoping that Woodstock gives them a boost in business.

The Fremont Street Experience is a 108 day adventure that celebrates life in the sixties. The organizers are planning big musical events, and Las Vegas casinos are hoping that enough interest is drawn to the event to increase their sagging revenue figures.

"This economy and Las Vegas in particular requires retail opportunities for visitation, and that's exactly what this promotion provides," said President of the Fremont Street Experience, Jeff Victor, "With people in their 50's and 60's, there is an emotional connection."

Some of the bands that will be playing at the event are groups that were big during the sixties. Blood, Sweat, and Tears, the 5th Dimension, and Three Dog Night, will all be featured at some point during the celebration.

Las Vegas casinos are turning to anything that can help them increase revenue. The figures have been down for many months in a row, and as of late they have dropped to record lows. Planned expansion in the city has slowed because of the economy.

One project that is still being completed is CityCenter from MGM Mirage. The company has made several loan interest payments to ensure the project moves along, and reports have surfaced that the company has settled their disputes with their partner in the project, Dubai World.
