Manchester Getting New Poker Club Despite Casinos' Efforts
Poker is becoming one of the most popular games in the world. People are playing in record numbers and it is causing gambling expansion to take place almost everywhere.
One place where there are four casinos who are very comfortable being the only draw in town is Manchester. Four casinos there control the gaming options and they were intent on keeping it that way.
That is the reason representatives of the four casinos showed up to voice their concern for adding a poker club to their city. The club has been proposed by lawyer Marc Yaffe. He has submitted the paperwork to gain the licensing necessary.
While many believed that Yaffe had no chance to gain inclusion into the casino gambling club of the big four, he shocked these people when he received the licenses for his operation.
Yaffe delivered a whole days worth of evidence that showed why his club would be good for the city. In the end, the powers that be in the city agreed with Yaffe and went against the wishes of Stanley Leisure, Rank, Grosvenor, and London Clubs International.
The new poker room will be located on Princess Street and will have eighteen poker tables inside. The poker room will be running for people to play seven days a week.
