Maryland Gambler Wins Over $400K on Wheel Of Fortune Slot Machine

Friday night was a good night for Tracy Shephard of Edgewood, Maryland. The gambler won one of the biggest slot jackpots ever at Dover Downs Hotel & Casino i Delaware, taking home over $400,000.

Shephard was playing the Wheel of Fortune MegaJackpots machine when suddenly the screen started to flash. Stunned, Shephard sat amazingly staring at the life changing amount of money that he had just won. The total for the jackpot was $410,835.

It was the third-largest jackpot in the history of the Delaware casino. The other two jackpots also came on progressive slot machines. The Ca$hola progressive penny machine was the one in which the other two jackpots were hit. That game is linked to casinos in West Virginia and Rhode Island.

"These types of jackpots are going to become more commonplace with the expansion of casinos throughout the US," said Casino Analyst Steve Schwartz, "The new casinos are going to have slots that are linked, and it will create more action and more jackpot hits."

Shephard had already started to think about what he would be doing with the money that he won. He claims that he will give some of the money to his children, and that he will save most of it. Shephard also said that he would be taking a hunting trip.
