Massachusetts Governor Betting on Casino Gambling For State Funds

Another state seems prepared to sell out their morals to achieve economic stability as the Governor of Massachusetts plans to make a proposal that will make three state casino licenses available to the highest bidder.

Not only are state now allowing the growth of gambling, but they now are coming up with clever ways to make money before any casino doors are open.

The new trend among politicians is to fight against casino gambling, then, when realizing they will lose the battle, they come up with a plan where the state will get their hands on as much of the casino money as possible.

Governor Deval Patrick is set to put three licenses up for bid, and the outcome of those bids alone could net the state hundreds of millions of dollars, just for the right to open a casino, then, once opened, the state would be guaranteed a portion of the casinos winnings.

The three regions that the licenses would be available are Southeastern Massachusetts, Western Massachusetts, and somewhere in Boston or north of the city.

Of course, the Governor will use all the right language necessary to ensure that the plan will be supported by all parties, language such as increased jobs, government revenue, and economic growth.

The plan is set to be released as early as today, and will mark the end of a long inquiry into the subject matter by the Governor.
