The Meadows Racetrack & Casino is just like many other casinos around the country. They do not always have the easiest time policing underage gambling, but when they are caught, they pay the price.

That price in Pennsylvania for Meadows will be $10,000. The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board approved an agreement for two violations of state gambling regulations for Meadows. The first is for allowing underage gambling, and the second will be for allowing a gambler on the self-exclusion list to enter the casino.

The violations will cost Meadows $5,000 each. The two of the violations occurred in August of this year, and Meadows has agreed to pay the fines the Gaming Control Board has levied. The gambling age in Pennsylvania is twenty-one.

The underage gambling situation happened back on August 11th of this year. An eighteen year-old was allowed on to the gambling floor, and played slots for almost an hour. The second occurrence took place on August 26th.

A member of the self-exclusion club was given access to the casino. The gambler was also issued a player;s club card, but his identity was revealed when he attempted to cash a check at the casino. the self-exclusion program allows people with gambling problems to voluntarily ban themselves from casinos.

Pennsylvania continues to make examples of existing casinos when it comes to regulations. With new casinos that have just opened, or others that are in the building process, the Gaming Board wants all owners to understand that the regulations in the state must be adhered to at all times.
