Michael Irvin Accused Of Rape At Hard Rock Hotel And Casino
Michael Irvin is a Hall of Fame football player on the field. Off the field, however, Irvin has had run-ins with the law, drug problems, and now is facing the harshest charge of all-rape.
A woman has accused Irvin of rape in a civil suit stemming from a stay at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Florida. The woman alleges in the suit that Irvin filled the woman will alcohol, and then proceeded to lure the woman to his hotel room.
Irvin not only has denied the claim, but he also has filed a $100 million counter-suit. Irvin was released from his duties on his radio show this week, although the station claims that was because of his performance and not the rape charge.
No criminal charges have been filed, and authorities have looked into the allegations. The authorities claim that they may again look into the allegations, but as of now there are no pending charges.
Irvin was on hand this week when the new class of the Hall of Fame was named. Jerry Rice and Emmitt Smith were two of greatest players of all-time, and now they will enter the Hall of Fame together.
Irvin played his entire career for the Cowboys and his college football was played at the University of Miami. Irvin set records at both the college and pro levels while becoming one of the top wide receivers of all-time.
