Mohegan Sun Celebrates New Casino In Spite Of Economy

The Mohegan Sun was lucky enough to finish their new casino project before the economy fell off drastically over the past month. While other companies have had to suspend their casino projects, Mohegan Sun completed Casino of the Wind.

They held their grand opening ceremonies this weekend and it was filled with stars. The list of stars was long and the festivities were grand to mark the opening of the casino.

Cheryl Hines, Tracy Morgan, Stacy Keibler, Robert Buckley, and Becki Newton were just some of the celebrities that played in a Celebrity Poker game to mark the opening of the poker room at Casino of the Wind.

"We are so proud to have such an exciting weekend of special events to unveil our brand new casino. Adding the new Casino of the Wind with Poker to our premier gaming, spa, and golf facilities continues to make Mohegan Sun one of the premiere gaming destinations in the country," said Chairman of the Mohegan Tribe, Bruce Bozsum.

Not only was the gambling facility unveiled this weekend, so was several shopping and dining options. Actress Lindsey Price unveiled Tiffany & Co.'s and Mohegan Sun's new cocktail dedicated to their high rollers.

The cocktail includes a Tiffany's diamond and pink sapphire ring garnish. The cocktail is valued at more than $6,000.
