MotorCity Casino Hotel Turns Fully Entertainment Based Tonight

Detroit, Michigan, will now be known for something other than the Red Wings. The MotorCity Casino Hotel has completed a renovation project that is set to make the city one of the best tourist gaming destinations in the country.

MotorCity has just finished a renovation that took almost three years. It costs the casino $300 million, and now that it is complete, they will show it off tonight when they debut their complete entertainment destination.

"My dream to help make Detroit a destination city has come true through the expansion of this magnificent property. Gamers, spa-goers, music fans, business and leisure travelers, and everyone in between will be overwhelmed by the variety of entertainment and activities at the new MotorCity,' said owner Marian Illitch.

The renovations that were done include a 100,000 square foot gaming floor, an 1,886 seat theatre, a non-smoking poker room, and 3,000 slot machines. It also has 60 table games.

The new entertainment complex also has several lounges that have a variety of music options. Restaurants were a high priority in the casino's makeover. There are several dining options from casual all the way up to five star service.
