National Bingo Winner Keeping Job After Record Jackpot Payout

For the second time in less than a week, a person who has hit it big by winning a jackpot has said they will continue to work. First a worker went back to McDonald's, and now a Scottish woman will keep her job cleaning.

The national jackpot winner took home a grand prize of $2.3 million in the National Bingo Game. Her family was shocked when she alerted them of her good fortune.

"I don't intend to give up my job. I like the girls I work with, and they have already said to me 'don't pack it in,'" she said. Soraya Lowell surely will have to fight the urge to retire down the road.

Last week, a man who won the lottery went back to his job as a trainer for McDonald's. he said that he missed working and the camaraderie between himself and co-workers.

The same thoughts are going through Lowell's mind currently. Only time will tell if she will stick to the plan, or if the lure of enjoying a life without work.

"I haven't slept at all but I will be back at work on Tuesday as usual," Lowell said.
