The state of Nevada is still the leader when it comes to all things casino gambling related. Las Vegas Gaming Inc. is one of the company's located in the state that helps produce slot machine software for casinos around the country.

The company, however, has come under fire of late, for not adhering to Nevada regulations. Nevada Gaming Board Chairman Dennis Neilander has indicated that he is fed up with the practices of Las Vegas Gaming, and that they need to make the necessary changes to their operation.

Neilander said he was "at the end of my rope" with the company. According to state audits, the company has not met state regulations and has also failed to perform background checks on new employees.

"The Nevada Gaming Board takes very seriously their regulations, they are considered the standard by which other states' regulators are measured," said observer Jack Lyons, "so when they see that a company or casino is not following these standards, they usually come down hard."

The regulators have not yet "come down hard" on Las Vegas Gaming. In fact, the Gaming Board has recommended that Chief Executive and President Job Berkley, be approved for a gaming license. The final decision in that matter will fall to the state Gaming Commission.

Las Vegas Gaming provides services to casinos in twelve different US states. They also have connections to thirty-eight Indian reservations. The Gaming Commission is expected to make their decision on Berkley later this month.
