(Dayton, Ohio)- The Dayton Mall location for MyOhioNow.com has become the number one location to collect signatures for its casino petition. The group is seeking to collect 402,275 signatures to place its initiative for a casino in Clinton County on the November 4th ballot in Ohio.

The kiosk, which opened last Friday (2/1) in front of Macy's has drawn many interested onlookers who seek to learn more about the issue.

Jodi Black, regional coordinator for MyOhioNow.com said, "Our mission is to collect signatures for the petition, but to also get feedback on the issue. We are thrilled that we are receiving overwhelming support for the issue. People are almost angry that our dollars are rolling into Indiana casinos while Ohio gets nothing. With our state losing jobs, we are facing a possible $2 billion deficit, and rising tax dollars, we find that many of our patrons have been very enthusiastic for our issue. people are also encouraged that we are going to have about 5000 jobs. In a town like Dayton, which has been hit hard by closings, this resonates strongly. I find people are very encouraged by our share the wealth plan which makes sense statewide."

Dr. Brad Pressman, one of the co-founders of MyOhioNow.com remarked, " We are very encouraged by the great positive reaction we have had since we began collecting signatures in January. I think Ohio voters realize that Ohio is surrounded by every state with casinos and that there are 38 states with casinos and 1296 regional casinos -that does not include Nevada or New Jersey. With money leaving our state at 65 MPH, I think that on November 4th, voters will have an opportunity to say yes to our casino plan which makes sense for Ohio."

MyOhioNow.com currently have locations for petition signatures in Cleveland, Columbus, Cincinnati, Youngstown, Toledo, Akron, and Warren along with over 300 signature collectors statewide. The group pays the signature collectors per signature and are looking to recruit more Ohioans for the team (800-285-1276).

MyOhioNow.com has until august to collect the signatures. The initiative calls for a $600 million dollar destination resort in Clinton County at Interstate 71 and State Route 73.
