Ohio Developer Hopes State Voters Will Finally Legalize Casino Gambling
The state of Ohio has plenty to be proud of with the recent success of the Browns, Indians, and Buckeyes, but they may have their biggest success to date if casino gambling comes to the state.
Three times in the past twenty years voters have gone to the polls and voted on the topic of casino gambling. Three times in twenty years voters agreed not to allow the ever growing industry into their state.
Now, MyOhioNow.com has launched a campaign to secure the proper number of signatures needed to put casino gambling to a vote once again. 402,000 signatures is the target number. It must be reached in at least forty four of the state's eighty eight counties.
The development group that is leading the charge believes this time might be different. They feel that with the expansion of casino gambling being widespread throughout the nation, that the time may have come for voters to allow it in Ohio.
The site of the proposed casino resort would be between Harveysburg and Wilmington. The exact location would be at Interstate 71 and Route 73.
