Pennsylvania Continues Gambling Push In Northeast With Expansion

USA Players Accepted at Rome Casino!

The state of Pennsylvania has already made it clear to Atlantic City, New Jersey that they are coming for AC casinos' customers. On Sunday, Pennsylvania took another step towards gaining an edge on New Jersey when three more casinos added table games.

Harrah's Chester Casino, Sands Casino Resort, and Parx Casino all unveiled their latest gambling offerings over the weekend, and the customer turnout was as expected. The amount of gamblers that came through the casino doors shows the state just how promising the new table games can be.

"I don't think even the lawmakers who legalized table games understand how this law will change the face of gambling in the Northeast for decades to come," said Gaming Analyst Steve Schwartz. "Now, it is up to New Jersey and other states to make adjustments to keep up with Pennsylvania.

Lawmakers understood the bottom line for how the table games could help bridge a large budget gap. Millions of dollars are expected to be pumped into the budget in the next couple of years, and thousands of jobs have been created to help the local economy.

The casinos on Sunday had thousands of happy gamblers who have been waiting to play craps, roulette, and blackjack in their home state. Up until recently, Pennsylvania residents had to travel to New Jersey to get their gambling fix.

"I'm just excited that I don't have to sit in a car for a couple of hours before I even get to a casino," said Marion Damon. "Now, I can spend that extra time playing the games instead of driving. It will be a much more enjoyable experience." Damon's opinion was shared by many Pennsylvania residents we spoke to on Sunday.
