Pennsylvania Expecting Major Increase In Casino Revenue

Pennsylvania is expanding their casino gambling options. Like most other states, the expansion is happening quickly, and it has made the state giddy over the amount of revenue increase that is possible.

The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board, through their Operations Director, has stated that they expect to see a major jump in casino gambling revenue over the next fifteen months. The increase in money will be welcomed in these economically challenging times.

Two temporary facilities will be expanding, and two new stand alone casinos will also be operating within that time frame. The new casinos and the expansion will bring upwards of 3,000 jobs, according to Hayes.

With the casino construction almost complete, all that will be left is to open the doors to customers, and to watch the money pour in. It is expected that an increase of forty percent of the current revenue numbers will occur.

The state could receive even a greater boost should residents in Philadelphia stop their opposition of casino projects that were in the works. The projects have been put on hold indefinitely because of the opposition.

Even with those projects on hold, the Gaming Board still expects a radical upward movement in casino gambling revenue in the state.
