People Must Vote If They Want Gambling Laws Changed In America

The American system of politics works on one basic level. If something is working for other politicians, then most will follow. That is certainly the case with the issue of gambling.

Many states have expanded their gambling laws with tremendous financial success. On Tuesday, there are gambling issues on the ballot in several states, and if expanded gambling is what you want, you need to get out and vote.

If the gambling issues pass in the states they are on the ballot, there will be a domino effect throughout the country. That domino effect has already begun in many states. When certain areas expand gambling, it is a natural progression that the surrounding areas will follow.

Atlantic City used to be the gambling capital of the East Coast. That was before New York and Pennsylvania politicians realized the money they were losing by their residents going to New Jersey to gamble.

Both states have since expanded their gambling laws, and the result has been a severe drop off in revenue figures for Atlantic City. That type of competition is part of what drives politicians.

If a neighboring state has legalized casino gambling and it is working, then they want expanded casino gambling as well. America was built on the idea of striving to achieve what others already have.

For Americans that live in areas that gambling is not yet an issue, the upcoming election could change that. The more expansion that takes place, the quicker casino gambling will come to your state. The revenue numbers are too good to pass up.

Residents of Maine, Missouri, Ohio, and the other states with gambling issues on the ballot, please get out and vote. Do it for the rest of the country that is yearning for an opportunity that is currently being afforded to you.
