PokerPro Electronic Table Sweeping Through Casinos In US

The world of Texas Hold'em across the world is changing by the second. With casinos becoming more aware of their budgets, the new fad is to trim money by using automated dealers.

PokerTek Inc. has come up with one of the most cost effective ways for casinos to cut corners financially. They have developed their PokerPro electronic Texas Hold'em card tables.

The game runs exactly the same as when it is dealt by a live dealer, except there is no live dealer. People sit around a table, each with a screen in front of them, and cards are dealt electronically. The community cards are in the middle of the table for all to see.

The latest casino to install the PokerTek software is the Valley View Casino in San Diego, California. Recently, Donald Trump has installed the tables at his Atlantic City casino, and many other casinos around the country are moving towards the electronic version of Hold'em.

The advantage of the new tables is that casinos can have many more hands of poker dealt an hour. That increase the amount of money that is taken in by the house. With customer bases down because of the economy, the PokerPro tables are becoming a strong way for casinos to cut their overhead.
