St. Louis is becoming quite the hot spot for casino gambling, and whenever there are top casino developers involved in a new project, fine dining is not far behind. That is why it comes as no surprise that the River City Casino will house one of the finest steakhouses in the country.

The River City Casino is not expected to open until 2010, but when it does there will be a Jeff Ruby's Steakhouse available for customers. The steakhouse will be the feature restaurant at a casino that already is drawing plenty of attention on its own.

The steakhouse will not come without fanfare. It is co-owned by Chris Collinsworth, the NBC NFL commentator that took the place of John Madden in the booth this year. One of the favorite dishes on the Jeff Ruby's menu is the Steak Collinsworth.

"The fact that the River City Casino is bringing in this type of high end restaurants shows that the owners are trying to attract more than just the gambling crowd," said Casino Gaming Analyst Steve Schwartz, "There will certainly be many patrons that come to the casinos simply for the dining experience."

Jeff Ruby's has won many awards for their fine dining offerings. There are over 400 wines to choose from, and the steakhouse also has a sushi bar. Seafood, salads, and exquisite desserts are all a staple of the Jeff Ruby's brand.

The casino is not expected to open until the Spring of 2010, and the Jeff Ruby's Steakhouse has been in the plans all along. The announcement late this past week came as no surprise to those who have been following the developments of the new St. Louis casino.
