Riverside Casino Entertains College Football Fans in Iowa
The $140 million Riverside Casino and Golf Resort, located about 12 miles south of Iowa City, is set to open at 9PM this Thursday, and includes many features specifically for Iowa football fans.
Beginning with the Iowa/Iowa State game on September 16th, grey-hound buses will be used to transport fans between the casino parking lot and the football Stadium, and there will be post-game get-togethors at the Riverside Casino.
For those who want to remain at the casino during the football games, the 1,180 slot machines will each have a small built-in TV screen for fans to watch their favorite team.
The new casino gambling complex is being designed as a resort destination that can potentially draw about 1.5 million guests per year from as far away as Chicago, Kansas City and Minneapolis.
