Sands Casino Selling Nostalgia Before Demolishing and Rebuilding

Play at Golden Casino

The Rat Pack was a group of entertainers that will never again be matched, a group that was as cool and hip as any group of men have ever been, now one of the places they frequented, The Sands Casino in Atlantic City, is selling off everything they can before they demolish the historic casino.

Anyone who remembers the days when The Rat Pack ruled the casino will be on hand as The Sands puts all of it's contents for sale.

Some of the items being sold come from the Plaza Club, the 19th floor hideaway that Sinatra made his own in his stays at The Sands. Also, all of the perks Sinatra and other stars enjoyed, such as a huge dressing room mirror that Sinatra checked his look in every night, and a steam room Don Rickles insisted be put in, will be sold.

The selling of these items is not an auction, and the result of the sales could eclipse $1 million by the time they are done.

Owners of the Casino are having the sell-off because the Casino is being demolished, and will be replaced by a new, billion dollar casino.

Among the more notable moments in Sands history, other than being a meeting place for the famed Rat Pack, was that it was also the first Atlantic City casino to offer poker to it's customers.
